Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith in Christian Counseling for errant Ministers of Christ
Question 1814

WHO IS AN ERRANT MINISTER OF CHRIST?

An errant Minister of Christ is a Christian Minister of the Clergy who is in error of a particular doctrine or Christian theme:

Mark 12:23 (KJV) In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
Mark 12:24 (KJV) And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
Mark 12:25 (KJV) For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
Mark 12:26 (KJV) And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Mark 12:27 (KJV) He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Every true Minister of God, including myself the author of this book, is a fool sometimes, or in error at one time or the other but not all the time. One who is in error of the Scriptures most of the time or all the time has not yet attained to the level of a Minister of Christ nor a Christian Counselor. Here are the spiritual reasons why every true Minister of God is in error at one time or the other:

Ecclesiastes 8:17 (KJV) Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
1 Corinthians 13:9 (KJV) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV) For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 4:9 (KJV) For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
1 Corinthians 4:10 (KJV) We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Here is Apostle John as a fool and as an errant Minister of Christ because he was seeking to shut down another Minister of Christ who did not agree with him in doctrine, even as we have many Ministers today who try to do as John did some two thousand years ago!

Mark 9:38 (KJV) And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
Mark 9:39 (KJV) But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mark 9:40 (KJV) For he that is not against us is on our part.
Here is Apostle Peter as a fool and as an errant Minister of Christ because he was living a lie as a transgressor, and he also got the other brethren and Barnabas to lie with him!
Galatians 2:11 (KJV) But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Galatians 2:12 (KJV) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
Galatians 2:13 (KJV) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
Galatians 2:14 (KJV) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Galatians 2:15 (KJV) We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
Galatians 2:16 (KJV) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:17 (KJV) But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Galatians 2:18 (KJV) For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Here is Apostle Paul as a fool and as an errant Minister of Christ because he obeyed the “freely ye have received give” doctrine even after Jesus Crist had abrogated it, meaning that he should not “have preached to you the gospel of God freely”!

Matthew 10:8 (KJV) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Luke 22:35 (KJV) And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Luke 22:36 (KJV) Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Luke 22:37 (KJV) For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
2 Corinthians 11:7 (KJV) Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
2 Corinthians 11:8 (KJV) I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
2 Corinthians 12:11 (KJV) I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
2 Corinthians 12:12 (KJV) Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
2 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV) For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.

From the foregoing Scripture analysis, we state, therefore, that every true Minister of God, including myself the author of this book, is a fool sometimes, or in error at one time or the other but not all the time.

WHAT IS A STATEMENT OF FAITH?

A Statement of Faith is a declaration of the Word of God that you believe in and claim to be true. A Statement of Faith is the Salvation Gospel of Jesus Christ! How so? The definition of “Faith” is Jesus Christ! You preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Another name for the Gospel of Jesus Christ is “the word of faith”. The “Word” is Jesus Christ. Therefore, a Statement of Faith being Jesus Christ is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the Word of God! If you live by “Faith” and Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then “Faith” is Jesus Christ by whom you live! Let us consider the following verses to confirm our doctrine:

John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:19 (KJV) Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Romans 10:8 (KJV) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Habakkuk 2:4 (KJV) Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Revelation 19:13 (KJV) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

What is a Statement of Faith? It is the outward reflective mirror of the unseen inner beliefs of a person. Here is the original condition of the unseen inner heart of man.

1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

HOW TO KNOW THE HIDDEN HEART OF A MAN

Now, given that man has no capacity to see the thoughts and intentions of a human heart according to 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV), God gave to the children of God only one door via which they can perceive/discern/know/understand what is inside a man’s thoughts and heart, and that door is the mouth! Yes, your mouth, for it reveals everything that is in your heart and is a sure door that leads straight into your hidden heart and soul. Nevertheless, the true child of God must know how to locate the door that leads to the human heart:

Proverbs 18:20 (KJV) A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Matthew 7:16 (KJV) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Matthew 7:20 (KJV) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Hebrews 13:15 (KJV) By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Out of the human mouth comes words, and words are spiritually called the fruits of the lips, and just as you see an almond fruit hanging on a tree and you immediately conclude that the tree is an almond tree, so also you must look, consider, and examine the words/fruits that come from human lips in order to discern/determine what tree the person is, for, indeed humans are trees in the spirit realm!

Mark 8:24 (KJV) And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
Luke 23:28 (KJV) But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
Luke 23:29 (KJV) For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
Luke 23:31 (KJV) For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

HOW TO EVALUATE ANY GOOD STATEMENT OF FAITH

The above description to know the inside of a person is what Christians are doing when they ask for Statement of Faith. In other words, they are asking to know whether you are a wolf in sheep clothing or a real sheep of Christ! In other words, they are looking for words from you that they can examine and verify by the Scriptures in order to determine, discern, and conclude whether you are one of them or not, most importantly, to know whether you are one of Christ’s! Sometimes, the majority Ministers of Jesus Christ are wrong when they determine that another Minister is not of Christ because his doctrines are different from their own! In that case, then it is they the majority rather who need a better Statement of Faith to depart from their first false Statement of Faith! When such a situation arises, we follow what Jesus Christ commanded in Luke 9:50 (KJV)!

Luke 9:49 (KJV) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
Luke 9:49 (KJV) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
Luke 9:50 (KJV) And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Now, what does Luke 9:50 (KJV) mean? It means oneness, it means one accord, it means no contradiction, it means in total 100% agreement with the Scriptures!

Proverbs 21:30 (KJV) There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
Isaiah 8:20 (KJV) To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Acts 1:14 (KJV) These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Galatians 1:8 (KJV) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9 (KJV) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

ERRANT MINISTERS OF CHRIST

Some Ministers have erred from the truth and correct definition of a true Statement of Faith, claiming that another Ministry needs their permission before they can adopt their Statement of Faith. Such errant Ministers also claim that no two Statements of Faith should be exactly the same. Finally, they claim that Scripture quotations that form part of their Ministry logo should not be used by another Ministry without permission!

1. First and foremost, if we would be true Christians and Ministers of the Word of God as Jesus Christ commanded us, then we must admit that there is nothing called “Statement of Faith” in the Scriptures! If that is the truth that “Statement of Faith” is not a biblical concept, then why fight over nothing? The very fact that you are fighting over something created by man and is nothing in the eyes of God is enough evidence that you are carnal and not of Christ! A “Statement of Faith” is man-made and therefore carnal, and shall we dispute over carnal things in Christ! “Statement of Faith” and “church Creed” are all carnal elements of the commandments of men, which Jesus Christ condemned!

a. Luke 1:2 (KJV) Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
b. Matthew 15:9 (KJV) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
c. Mark 7:7 (KJV) Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
d. Romans 7:14 (KJV) For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
e. Romans 8:7 (KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
f. 1 Corinthians 3:1 (KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
g. 1 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
h. 1 Corinthians 3:4 (KJV) For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
i. 1 Corinthians 9:11 (KJV) If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
j. 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
k. Colossians 2:22 (KJV) Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
l. Titus 1:14 (KJV) Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

2. This is a classic example of what Jesus Christ warned Apostle John against, and therefore, this warning goes equally for you erring Ministers who are destitute of the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

a. Mark 9:38 (KJV) And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
b. Mark 9:39 (KJV) But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
c. Mark 9:40 (KJV) For he that is not against us is on our part.

3. You see from the preceding verses, that Jesus Christ made it perfectly clear that no Minister has authority to demand another Minister to seek his permission before using the tools of the Kingdom of God to promote the Kingdom of God!

4. If you have written a Statement of Faith and another Ministry finds it good to adopt it, with academically and legally required referencing by the way, should that not make you happy that you have produced something that another Ministry finds helpful to use to promote the Kingdom of God instead of seeking the Apostle John permission that Jesus Christ already condemned some two thousand years ago? If you believe something in the Scriptures and someone also believes the same thing, what does it matter if the person uses your words to express that belief?

a. 1 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
b. 1 Corinthians 3:4 (KJV) For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
c. 1 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV) Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
d. 1 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
e. 1 Corinthians 3:7 (KJV) So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
f. 1 Corinthians 3:8 (KJV) Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
g. 1 Corinthians 3:9 (KJV) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
h. 1 Corinthians 3:10 (KJV) According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
i. 1 Corinthians 3:11 (KJV) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

5. These same errant Ministers also claim that no two Statements of Faith should be exactly the same! Have such Ministers who claim propriety over a Statement of Faith not read 1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV) at all? Quite obviously, they do not understand it if at all they have read it! What then are these verses for?

a. Romans 12:16 (KJV) Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
b. Romans 15:6 (KJV) That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
c. 1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV) Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
d. 2 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
e. Philippians 1:27 (KJV) Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
f. Philippians 2:2 (KJV) Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
g. 1 Peter 3:8 (KJV) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

6. Finally, such errant Ministers claim that Scripture quotations that form part of their Ministry logo should not be used by another Ministry without permission! Well, first of all, from whom did you take permission before using those Scripture quotations in your logo? Shall the thing that you have freely taken from its author without permission be now appropriated and assigned to you as the owner from whom others who use it must seek your permission first?

So, now you see that the only one instrument to evaluate any good Statement of Faith is the Scriptures…oneness with the Scriptures. Oneness with Scriptures is the conclusion or determination that you must look for, and they will know by the Scriptures! They will examine your words in the Light of the Scriptures of God, they will test your words, they will try your words, and they will search your words in the Scripture of Truth, and not by your permission, to know whether there be any contradiction!

Daniel 10:21 (KJV) But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Luke 10:26 (KJV) He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
John 5:39 (KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Acts 17:11 (KJV) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV) Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 John 4:1 (KJV) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Revelation 2:2 (KJV) I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

HOW TO PRODUCE A STATEMENT OF FAITH

Thus, Statement of Faith can come in one of just two ways for there are only two ways by which to express one’s Statement of Faith: by word of mouth, or by letter/epistle. Both versions are the same thing meaning that, in fact, there is only one way to express a Statement of Faith and that is: by the spoken word, which spoken word can be delivered verbally and in person, or the words can be captured onto paper and sent across time and space. Therefore, in essence, both versions are one and the same thing: the spoken word!

Acts 15:19 (KJV) Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Acts 15:20 (KJV) But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:27 (KJV) We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
3 John 13 (KJV) I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
3 John 14 (KJV) But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

As the spoken Word reveals who God is, so also the spoken word declares who a man is, therefore, by their fruits/words, ye shall know them!

1 Samuel 3:21 (KJV) And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
Matthew 7:16 (KJV) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Matthew 7:20 (KJV) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Matthew 12:37 (KJV) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

HOW SHOULD THE STATEMENT OF FAITH LOOK LIKE AND HOW LONG SHOULD IT BE?

Now that we have established the above fundamentals of Statement of Faith, we ask: How should the Statement of Faith look like and how long should it be? A Statement of Faith can be as long as the model of epistle/letter in Acts 15:19-29 (KJV). A Statement of Faith can be in your own words or you can also locate verses in the Scriptures, state them or write them out, and then declare, or write, that you believe in them as Truth.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THAT A STATEMENT OF FAITH IS GOOD AND APPROVED OF GOD?

A good Statement of Faith that is approved of God is the one that the Scriptures agree with and verify as 100% correct! Here is Apostle Peter declaring his Statement of Faith:

Acts 10:30 (KJV) And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Acts 10:31 (KJV) And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Acts 10:32 (KJV) Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

Acts 10:33 (KJV) Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Acts 10:34 (KJV) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Acts 10:35 (KJV) But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:36 (KJV) The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
Acts 10:37 (KJV) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Acts 10:38 (KJV) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:39 (KJV) And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
Acts 10:40 (KJV) Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
Acts 10:41 (KJV) Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
Acts 10:42 (KJV) And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Acts 10:43 (KJV) To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Here is the signature of approval on the Statement of Faith of Apostle Peter:

Acts 10:44 (KJV) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Here is the Angel of Jesus Christ commanding the Apostles of Jesus Christ to go and declare all the words of the Statement of Faith!
Acts 5:17 (KJV) Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
Acts 5:18 (KJV) And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
Acts 5:19 (KJV) But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
Acts 5:21 (KJV) And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Here is Apostle Paul declaring his Statement of Faith:

1 Corinthians 15:1 (KJV) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1 Corinthians 15:2 (KJV) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:3 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1 Corinthians 15:4 (KJV) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:5 (KJV) And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

Truly, the Salvation Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true and only viable Statement of Faith for every true Minister of Christ in the New Testament dispensation! Any other thing or words apart from that is a sheer waste of time and a useless attempt to split hairs!

Luke 1:2 (KJV) Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
1 Corinthians 1:23 (KJV) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 2:2 (KJV) For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
2 Corinthians 4:5 (KJV) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
2 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
1 Corinthians 4:1 (KJV) Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

HOW CAN A MAN OF GOD EXTRACT A STATEMENT OF FAITH FROM A PERSON WHO MAY BE UNWILLING TO GIVE IT?

Very simple! Just follow the Jesus Christ model that He used with the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Chief Priests. What you want are words from the person. You need the person’s words to examine them in the Scriptures in order to draw a reasoned conclusion. Therefore, any way that you see fit to get the person to talk or write about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all right! Here is what Jesus Christ did:

Matthew 22:41 (KJV) While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
Matthew 22:42 (KJV) Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
Matthew 22:43 (KJV) He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
Matthew 22:44 (KJV) The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Matthew 22:45 (KJV) If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
Matthew 22:46 (KJV) And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

We conclude this teaching on Christian Statement of Faith by reminding readers of the salient variables that must all coalesce in order for the true Minister of Christ to extract a good Statement of Faith. If you examine the credentials of Jesus Christ, Apostle Peter and Apostle Paul before they were able to declare a good Statement of Faith, or before Jesus Christ did what He did with the Pharisees in Matthew 22:41-46 (KJV), it goes without saying that you cannot be a corrupt Minister of Jesus Christ and expect to have a good Statement of Faith!

A correct and true Statement of Faith derives from a prior holy and righteous lifestyle, obeying all the commandments of God in a clean heart, in word, in thought, and in deed, night and day! My Statements of Faith are the many Christian books and Bible Commentaries that Holy Spirit taught me to write. If you are a good Minister of Jesus Christ, then demonstrate your nobility, duty, and responsibility by implementing Acts 17:11 (KJV) to examine my Statements of Faith (my Christian books) in order to determine their 100% agreement with the Scriptures:

Acts 17:11 (KJV) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJV) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

The LORD God Jesus Christ give you understanding.
